However, things get complicated when these devices start being brought into the classroom. Students are going to find ways around not being allowed to have them, so should we just quit fighting it and make some kind of compromise?Katie Krajiceknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36872073.post-18125223624569465322009-09-25T20:49:14.558-04:002009-09-25T20:49:14.558-04:00I agree that the situation with students and techn...I agree that the situation with students and technology is becoming more and more of an issue. I am not sure of how things such as cell phones or ipods could be used in a classroom setting that would be effective enough to be worth the effort. The only thing I do know however is that technology will not wait for us as educators. We need to become as educated about technology as we can. I also believe that it is important for schools to make sure their educators get the proper training for technology.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36872073.post-85890070211813835582008-11-24T17:41:00.000-05:002008-11-24T17:41:00.000-05:00Nice post. On one hand, I tell my students that when they earn a college degree, they too can eat in the teacher's lounge, drink coffee during the day, and have their cell phones in class. On the other hand, I remember sitting in my high school classroom and scoffing at similar remarks. At any rate, I'm trying to find ways to use the technology to my advantage (ie- cell phones in the classroom) successfully.TJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13891305153287860770noreply@blogger.com
